Africa urged to address challenges that may affect Paris Agreement implementation

Addis Ababa, 18 October 2016 (ECA) – There is an urgent need for African countries to review and revise their Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs) to address challenges that can affect the implementation of the Paris Agreement on climate change says Economic Commission for Africa’s Chief Economist and Deputy Executive Secretary, Abdalla Hamdok.

ADDIS ABABA. 6 October, 2016 - ClimDev-Africa, The 6th Conference on Climate Change and Development in Africa (CCDA–VI), the continent’s premier climate change conference, will take place here from 18-20 October 2016. It will bring together diverse stakeholders to understand the implications of implementing the Paris Agreement.
